Bridezilla Dream Destinations: Ravello, Italy

Who can resist a good villa? Not Bridezilla. (Ooh, see what we did there?) The celebrities that hit the small Italian town of Ravello may be more Boccaccio than Brangelina, but that doesn’t mean this hamlet lacks for luxury.

Where to stay:
Palazzo Sasso: This pink 12th-century villa has views, charm, service, and suites. Don’t want to deal with cab service from the airport? They’ll send over a limousine – or, for that matter, a helicopter. What more can we say? Look at the pretty pictures!
What to do:
Eat: The cuisine at Rossellini’s is divine, but we like the ambience (and the cocktails) at the Caffe dell’Arte.
Pretend you’re Ingrid Bergman: She stayed at the Palazzo Sasso with Roberto Rossellini in the throes of their scandalous fifties romance. Ingrid always looked unruffled; adopt her look with red lipstick and a simple white button-down tied at the waist, and make your new brand-new husband play your Cary Grant.
Visit the Villa Cimbrone: Built by an English lord and a tailor, the Villa Cimbrone is marked by fabulously gorgeous gardens and views lovely enough to get the shutter clicking and the Mr. begging you to stop considering a permanent move. Italian isn’t that difficult to learn, right?
