Bridezilla Dream Destinations: The Bohemian Rhapsody of Prague

La vie Boheme? We’ll take it. Any excuse to dress up in gold and autumn-colored scarves is fine with us, and we’re happy to pretend we’re Czech princesses in the cobblestone streets. As honeymoon destinations go, this one’s more cultural experience than tourist-trappy capitalist extravaganza (not that we dislike those, necessarily), but we’ve found the prime locations to get your Speedy twitching…

Where to stay:
Hotel Green Lobster: Our fifth-grade love of canopy beds was excited by this Prague Post article on the hotel, but it has much more to offer than that – just check out that gorgeous exterior. The stunning suites offer all the amenities of a four star hotel as well as period furniture and dreamy views. Hit the breakfast buffet before you head out into the city, or stay in and enjoy the selection of room service cocktails and salads.
Rezidence Vysehrad: Planning on a honeymoon of a week or more? Combine the best of apartment living with the luxury of a hotel in these short-stay residences right next to a gorgeous park, a perfect place to settle into your new Mrs. status without a whirlwind of touristy activities.
What to do:
Stare Mesto: Old Town Prague is often packed, and for good reason – from the shopping to the sights, this section of town can’t be beat. We like Louis Vuitton and Anne Fontaine for imported French chic and Le Terroir for their killer wine selection. Round out your evening with a cocktail or two at the honestly-named Alcohol Bar. We recommend absinthe, because seriously, when else are you going to get to try it?
Prague Castle: Until we get one of our own, we’ll have to settle for checking out the lux haunt of Prague’s royalty, currently used by the Czech president. Now that’s a hell of an office. We like the royal gardens, too – hello, landscaping inspiration!
