Bridezilla Snaps!

We were turned onto this trend by Faye And Greer (link via OurWeddingPlus) and we haven’t stopped thinking about it since! Alternative approaches to wedding photography mean even more ways to remember the big day – and you deserve that for devoting so much attention to it! In addition to the traditional wedding photographer, we love the idea of adding another way or two to capture the event.

One alternative we love for guest snaps is the old-school photobooth (pictured above, via Popscura). You can rent one for the duration of the reception, and either have your guests leave the strips with you for a fun wedding collage and take them as keepsakes and reminders of your wedding! For the best snapshots, we recommend setting up the photobooth near to the bar, because nothing creates blackmail-worthy memories like a champagne-fueled photo sesh starring as many bridesmaids as can fit into the booth.

Take a tip from Faye And Greer and go with a prom-esque backdrop for your guests to pose in front of, then encourage them to leap! If your guests are more the sober, non-leaping types, let them pose as they wish in front of a themed backdrop. It doesn’t even have to match your wedding, even. Why not invite your guests to pose in front of Chinatown or the Moulin Rouge?

Sure, the Kodak one-time use camera on every table is a classic, but if you’re going with tradition, why not add a sheen of hipster gloss to your guest’s wedding snaps by leaving around a Polaroid camera or two? We love how Sarah Fortune embraced the trend, and it’s fun to have a series of snaps to pin up around the house amidst the professionally-lit and posed shots you’ll get from your wedding photographer – it’s the best of both worlds for the Bridezilla who needs everything! Once the ceremony’s over, gather all the shots up into an Instant Wedding Photo Guest Book (pictured).

The photo booth is such a cute idea. A lot of celebrities have rented them for their nuptials. My husband and I almost rented one for our wedding, but then decided against it because we were a bit nervous about the things some of our crazier friends might try to capture!
